Well, today we FINALLY went shopping at Toys R Us with the gift cards my Mom sent for Sarah. We bought her a cute little pool with a slide and seat molded into it and some pool toys. Of course, I couldn't help but set it up and fill it right away so it could warm up during her nap and we could play in the pool after she woke up. You can see she looks a little sleepy still. She only slept for 1.5 hours and her average nap is at least 3 hours! She woke up when the phone rang and she was UPSET!! I tried everything and she wouldn't go back to sleep so I figured I'd get her outside and get her really tuckered and she went to sleep with NO problem tonight. Anyway, we had a blast in the water, she absolutely LOVES to play in water...the dog's bowl...the toilet if it's left open, and of course, the bath. For this reason, I knew that the pool would be a hit!

Thanks, Lao Lao for my new pool and toys! I wish you could be here to play in it with me and Mama!

What Happens when BaBa gets me dressed!

Well, yesterday I had to work all day to prepare for a big corporate visit coming up. So...that explains the outfit that Sarah is wearing! Troy took her to the pool and grabbed this shirt and pants out of the closet to put on her after the pool. He said, "it goes alright together, doesn't it?" I just laughed hysterically and said, "No, honey, it doesn't!" She was being really silly when I got home from work. She was riding our dog, Liberty, like she was a horse and Libby just loved every minute of it. Then she was playing with Troy while he was eating his dinner. She had already eaten and decided she wanted more of Baba's corn. So, Troy had her in his lap and she kept putting her face in his plate. He finally surrendered the rest of his dinner to his baby girl. She was hilarious!

What? My pants and top don't match? I'm still the cutest girl ever!

Giddy-up Libby!

I just love my dog!

Yummmm...that corn looks really good, Baba!

Woo Hoo, my Baba is soooo much fun!

Baba is shoveling it in

Peek-a-boo!!

I'm having so much fun!

There you are, Baba!!!

Another Busy Saturday with a trip to the Park

We had SUCH a busy day today! We started our morning hosting and administering an America World Adoption Association Seminar. It was amazing to see how many people showed up! We were really blessed about it. We are associates of our adoption agency because of our lovely daughter, we are now VERY passionate about adoption and have enjoyed hosting seminars to educate and provide an opportunity for others to adopt. At our first seminar there were only 2 couples. This was our second one and we had 14 families show up which had about 25 people there. It was really exciting for me! I love having the opportunity to be a part of other people's adoption journey. It blesses me to see others experience the miracle of adoption in their lives as we have. Sarah was her normal charming self and everyone looked adoringly at her in hopes to adopt children of their own.

This evening after Sarah's nap we went over to the park for a little while to play. Sarah loves the swing and the slide. This time for some reason she was hesitant to go down the slide and whined a little. Once she got to the bottom, she had a huge smile on her face and loved every second of it. She really liked to ride the little animals, too. It was a nice family time and I enjoyed it a lot. Since I have to work tomorrow and Troy has to work the rest of the week, it was nice to have a little bit of time to share as a family.

Here are a few photos from our trip to the park!

WEEEEE!!

What a smile!

That was fun, Mama, can I go again?

My little glamour queen

This evening we went to the field near our house so that Troy could fly his newest radio control airplane...at least for the 5 minutes it took for him to break it (AGAIN!). Sarah and I sat in the car and played and watched Ba Ba chase the thing around the field every time it crashed. We had fun talking, playing and trying on our glamour queen (or is it princess?) glasses while we watched from the car. I took the camera in hopes to immortalize some cool flight patterns but came home with some sweet shots of my little fashion gal.

Mama, are you sure these things work?

Kisses to all my fans! MMUUAAAHHH!

Wait a minute...why can't I see straight?

Mama, You're being so silly! You make me laugh!

Am I not the cutest glamour girl you've ever seen?

More new bows from Lao Lao

Sarah was so cute. I put this bow in her hair when she brought it to me and inquisitively gave me her head. Then she put her face in both her hands, tilted her head to the side and said, "AWWWWW". It is times like these that I realize the mirror this child has become. I remember doing that every time I try to put headbands, barrettes, hats or bows in that glossy black hair. She does mimic EVERYTHING we do and I see it often when she makes sounds, or gestures that we do all the time. Things that I don't even realize I do I see in her. It sure does make me want to pay a lot more attention to what we say and do!

Here she is wearing the green bow that my Mom sent her in the last box.

Photos, As Promised

Sarah got a hold of the new cute pink camo outfit my Mom sent her and just HAD to try it on. She was hilarious...waddling around like a little penguin with the skirt around her knees! I guess this is her version of getting dressed.

She just loves the Elephant sunglasses my Mom sent and tried them on and kept going around the house saying, "ell-fan" it was adorable.

Don't you just love that smile? Those pearly whites are just the cutest, I just love that girl!!!

Happy Father's Day

Well, Happy Father's day to the BA BA in our house, Troy, to my Dad, my Poppy, Bob, and Uncle Greg! Although I did take a few photos today and they are too cute and must be blogged, I am way too sleepy to blog them now, so I'll take care of it in the morning sometime. We had a nice Father's day today. I cooked a yummy meal for my Dad and Troy and gave them cards and presents. They loved it. It was Troy's first Dad's Day with our little Noodle (Sarah) and they had a lot of fun today playing on the floor.

I also just realized that as of this past Saturday, Bailey and Braden's visit is only 3 weeks away! I'm excited to see them and I know they're excited to see us. At least that's what they say when we talk to them on the phone.
To bed I'm heading...photos tomorrow, I promise!

Fun new surprises from Lao Lao

We got a box today from my Mom, Sarah's Lao Lao. She misses Sarah so much she's sending her fun stuff all the time. We got some pretty hair bows, that I managed to keep in her hair for the 5 minutes that it took for me to get these photos taken.

I just love that silly little smile! When you tell her, "show me your teeth," and there are those pearly whites! What a little doll. She was in the best mood today. We were really busy doing errands and I was doing 2 mystery shops and buying Troy's Dad's day present. She woke up from her nap SOOO happy, it was a joy. 180 degrees different than her "wake-up" the other day. She was calling us from the crib, "BABA! MAMA!" We would say, "SARAH" and she would laugh like crazy. When I went up to get her she held on to the crib rail and started giggling and jumping on the bed. She was so cute. Of course, I'm biased but she's the cutest girl ever!

Hi Ho Buttercup, Away!

After Sarah's nap today, she woke up wanting her horse, Buttercup. So we went for a little ride. She was adorable and just had a ball.

Good Horse, Buttercup! Good Girl!

Okay, Mama, I'm all done.

I just love that smile!

Here is our little angel. She woke up from her nap today in such a foul mood! Wow, she was crying and crying like she didn't want to wake up yet, but I went up there anyway cause it had been over 3 hours. She had a fit when I got her out of the crib! She arched her back, flung back her head, stiffened up her legs and tried to squirm right out of my arms! I changed her diaper and put her in the hallway and let her just scream! She didn't give up for over 15 minutes! I finally went up there and picked her up. This time she let me hold her and put her little head on my shoulder. I just rocked her and she calmed down. I almost thought that maybe she had a fever or something since she never acts like that! Just as I was holding her and sitting on the stairs, Troy came home. She usually is so excited to see him she starts screaming, "BA BA! BA BA!" and dancing and running over to see him. This time, she didn't even want to let him hold her or hug her. She just wanted Ma Ma! It reminded me of how she was in China when she didn't want Troy at all! She only wanted me. By the time she went to bed tonight, I was finally able to get a few smiles out of her and she had warmed back up to Troy. Her attitude was rather odd. She never acts like that! I guess we'll see how she is in the morning if she's coming down with something or what!

Here is a smile, I was FINALLY able to get!

Sarah's first adventure!

This is our site for our friends and family to follow the adventures of our daughter, Sarah whom we adopted from China. We were united with her on 10/31/05 in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, China and our lives have never been the same...or never been better! She is an awesome blessing!

This was her referral photo and the first time we saw her beautiful face. She was almost 6 months old.

This was the first time we met our daughter and she was 1 year and 4 days old.

This photo was taken when she was 14 months old and were our first family portraits taken in Dec. 05. Isn't she just a doll?

Here is our baby in May 2006 having fun with her favorite canine friend!

Well, there is a short "photo history" of my baby girl! She's growing like a weed and is very high on the Chinese growth charts (97 percentile!). We hope you enjoy Sarah's next adventure!
