Playland Fun

She said, "Look at me, Mama!! KISSES!!"
Going for a drive!

I was so proud of her...she pointed at the triangle on this thing and told me exactly what it was!

What do you see in there, Sarah?

WEEEEEE, I love to be at the wheel!

So much fun!

Happy Memorial Day...

...a little late. I took the camera with us the whole day, but do you think I took it out one time until we got home? We had a wonderful Memorial Day this year. We decided to take a long drive in the mountains. There is a potter that is an amazing artist that lives in a small town up there through our mountains and every year he has a sale Memorial Day weekend. Since my lovely little China Angel dropped my beautiful (and not cheap) mug he'd made, I wanted to replace it. So we took a beautiful drive up the mountains, spent some money on 3 beautiful pieces, then went shopping at the Outlet Mall that's in Park City. It was so fun...AND...I got some AWESOME DEALS!! I got a set of sheets for $11 (queen size!). I got Sarah an adorable outfit at Gymboree for only $12-a skirt and shirt and it's soo cute! At Children's Place I got a cute shirt and skirt for $11 and for next winter, the best deal of all!! I got her 2 shirts with matching pants for $2 each!! And they're so cute! Man, I love that Outlet Mall! I wish I lived closer to it...but then again, it could be way too dangerous!
Enjoy my Darling Daughter...

Doesn't she look like she's in pain in this one??

Sunday Fun

At church this morning, we were having fun!
My hair was in my face, so I was trying to get it out in this one! I'm not used to not having piggy tails, anymore!
Alright, Mama...how long do I have to stand here???
Baba, you're silly!
I love to be silly!

On the way home from church, I found my pink fuzzy hat in the back seat. Mama surprised me and took my picture and I was playing hide n' seek with her!

Mama? Where's Sarah?

Here I am!!

My Very First Quilt...

Well, I've gotten the quilting bug! Since I've collected squares to make Sarah's One Hundred Good Wishes Quilt, I have also joined numerous quilt swaps. I decided to join a ladybug swap recently and realized that I could make a baby quilt for my friend, Paige with the squares. I did have to add a square or 2 and ended up with a few other critters, as well. Paige is pregnant and will have a girl, she's naming her Danielle. I have the coolest sewing machine. I put Danielle's name on the top left corner with my machine It was good practice for Sarah's quilt. It's not 100% perfect, as far as quilting goes...but, I think I did a pretty good job, for my first time. I didn't have enough time to machine quilt it (I'm not sure how yet, either) so I just hand tied it, since the baby shower is on June 9th. Now I'll put together a little scrapbook for her with the wishes I received from the other ladybug swappers. I hope she likes it.
Not bad, right?

Mama says I have ruffle butt!

Yes...it's true. I love Ruffle Butt! When my Mom saw this skirt on ebay she couldn't resist getting the outfit for Sarah. She's getting too big (*sniff sniff*) to wear ruffle butt tights...this is the next best thing! I just had to take a photo from behind.

I said, "Sarah...I want to take your picture." "Ok, over here, Mama," she said.

Here it, is...the smile that melts my heart.

Just being silly...

Just hangin' out

We were just hanging outside last night, enjoying the nice evening. Of course, the camera is never far...so here's my little Noodle.

Look, Lao Lao...here's the shoes that you painted for me...they're so cute. I love the ladybugs on them!

My Baba was being silly and making me smile!

Yes, I'm cute!

Wow, I didn't realize that I haven't posted one time all week! Sorry 'bout that (especially to Sarah's Lao Lao who lives far away and loves to see her only grandchild here!).
"No, Mama, I want to tell YOU what I want to do!"

See, I want to "lay downing" on the stairs, SHHH, I'm "seeping"

Wait, I should go and get my pillow and blanket!

I love to pretend!

Sunny Sunday Afternoon

Since it was such a pretty sunny Sunday, before I took my nap, Mama and Baba played with me outside for a little while, today.

I got to ride my tricycle around a little bit in the driveway. I'm getting really good at pushing the pedals all by myself!

Then we went to the back yard.
I know there's a way to open this sandbox around here somewhere!

Then we went back to the front for a while before I went to sleep. I told Mama that I would stand "right here!" for my picture.

Then Baba gave me a pretty rose from Mama's rose bushes. It's so pretty!

See my rose, Mama!??!

And Baba put a tiny one by my ear, it's so small and pretty.

...it smells good, too!
Hmmm...I wonder if I can take it apart?

A Fun Saturday!!

We had a fun-filled busy day today! We started the day with Lia and her Mommy at Build-a-Bear! It was "Stuffable Hugs" day, and we stuffed cute brown bears and Build-a-bear donated them to orphans in the US and around the world. We thought it was a wonderful opportunity to help out some children that don't have families yet...especially since Sarah and Lia used to be orphans.
(Wow, that really was difficult to type, and even more difficult to imagine that MY daughter used to be an orphan. It's amazing how it seems like she's been in my home and heart since she was born...and even more it breaks my heart that this was not the case. Thank God that she's in my arms now, safe and sound...an orphan, no more.)

Here is little Lia, trying her hardest to get as far away from that stuffing machine as she can! She was a little afraid of it, probably cause it was so loud.

Here is Lia with the bear that she stuffed to give to the little kids that don't have families. She was giving it hugs, hopefully the little boy or girl that gets this bear will feel her hugs and love!

Here, Sarah is getting her bear a heart to put in his chest.

She's giving that heart kisses!

Well...since our Sarah is potty training...and she's filled up 2 whole potty charts with smiley stickers, we decided that she needed a cool reward. So, Sarah got her first Build-a-Bear today! She chose Hello Kitty. She's giving her a heart in this one.

And now we need to give Kitty a bath!

...and she needs a good brushing...

Mama...I'm not sure I WANT to give this cute bear away to someone else...

Our girls are showing off their creations...

Here's my new "Mulan Kitty" that I made today. I make Mama put the Mulan movie in the DVD player EVERY DAY!!! I love Mulan! Mama knows all the words to the movie now and she always sings along! I love it anyway!
Here she is!
I love my Mulan Kitty!

We were hanging out and chatting today after we made our bears. Lia was so sweet, she shared her crackers with me! She's so cute, I love to play with her and I can't wait till next month's play date!

Here is my cute friend, Lia! It's really cool because she is from Jiangxi province in China, just like me!

After our play date we went to the Living Traditions Festival downtown. It was so much fun! They had lots of ethnic foods, crafts, music and dance. Mama and Baba took me here last year, too. We got there just in time to see the Chinese dancers. We also got to meet Emilie and her Mama, she's another friend from Jiangxi, and we hope she can join our play date next month!

I was just relaxing by the fountain when we were getting ready to go home and have a nap! I really needed one after my busy day!

Here is my pretty Mexican flower that I made with Mama at the Kid's Craft area!
