Happy Valentine's Preschool Party!

Sarah's preschool closed down at the end of January, and I had the daunting task of finding another one. Well, let me just say that I'm sorry I didn't find the new one in the first place!!! I LOVE the new school, and so does Sarah! It's really wonderful and her teachers are great. We even have a parent teacher conference tonight, do you believe it? For preschool? Awesome!
Well, the parents are invited to join in when the class has parties, and I went to the Valentine's Day party back in February. Armed with my camera, I got some priceless photos of Sarah at school!
After school, Sarah just HAD to pose with her beloved Waldo who was on his "leash".

This is all the "loot" that Sarah came home from school with.

They teach a lot of subjects through music and Sarah just loved the songs and dancing around. She was a joy to watch!

You gotta love those listening skills!

Check out that dancing!!

Sarah is also learning some sign language with some of the songs that they sing in school!

Sarah is filling the kids goodie bags with the Valentine's that she brought.

That's one happy girl!

Happy Birthday Miranda Joy!

I don't what happened with blogger, I think they updated something. Either way, it no longer loads photos in the order I post them! Either way, Miranda Joy had her 4th birthday on Feb. 1st and we had lots of fun celebrating with them.
Chelsea hit that pinata pretty hard!
Sarah just LOVES a party hat!!

Isn't that the cutest ladybug cake?

Not to mention that cute smile on the birthday girl!!
By the way, doesn't Miranda Joy look amazing since the mole was removed from her face??

Sarah's turn hitting the pinata!

Miranda Joy giving it a good hit!

Time for PRESENTS!!!

Playing games with all the kids!

This was a fun Chinese thing that Angie found online, You choose an egg and depending on what is inside, it's lucky...or not!

Then there was the musical dress up game! When the music stopped, you could choose some clothes out of the bag if you were holding it and wear it for the game!

Xin Nian Kuai Le!!

For part of our Chinese New Year Celebration this year, we went to the Library where they had this awesome Year of the Ox Celebration! They had lots of performances, crafts for the kids, and the ever popular Sarah's all time favorite LION DANCE! We had a blast, as usual!

Here is Sarah with the Dragon that she made!

These dancers were really great. They were dancing a peacock dance of some kind and were very bird like in their moves!

They had a Tai Chi performance with their swords!

And these dancers were so good! Sarah now wants to take lessons!

The Chinese Orchestra played and they were wonderful. They played the most interesting Chinese instruments!

And, here is Sarah watching (intently) the Lion Dance...

And, Sarah had just "fed" the Lion a dollar! Here is was chewing on it!

January's Play Date

In January, my friend, Christy, invited us to her house for the play date! In December, she brought home Gigi from Vietnam (isn't she a doll??) and we got to meet her. She's a sweetie, and made me so baby hungry! :)
Here is Christy with her newly adopted Gigi!
We had a wonderful turnout this month, too! Let's see if I can name everyone! From left to right there is Preston, Lia, Donna, Sam, Lindsey, and Emilie...on the bottom is Sarah and Sunny!

QT Pie

Now, who can argue with that???

More Christmas photos

Here are some photos from our Christmas, some on Christmas eve, and some Christmas day. We had a blast and Sarah was so much fun. It was truly a special time.

This was my table before it was set for Christmas dinner. I just love that table runner, I think it's gorgeous!

Here is my new sewing machine tote I got from my Dad! Love it! Quilting Classes will be so much easier to attend!

Decorating our Christmas tree

For the longest time, when asked to smile on cue, Sarah truly looks like she's hurting herself! It's still cute, though. Here she is helping us decorate the tree and putting on the star!

Happy Birthday Lili!

Well, since I'm SOOO behind on blogging, I decided to still post what I had planned and just let it be late! My "niece" Lili, had her 15th birthday last December! She's my best friend's oldest daughter and I've known her since she was 3 months old. I'm so proud of the beautiful (both inside and out) young woman that she's become. I just love this girl! Since her Mom is from Colombia, they had a wonderful birthday celebration with a Quincinera (sp?) that was a blast!
Here is Lili the next morning opening her presents. This is the bible that we bought her.
Here we are with the birthday girl. Isn't she gorgeous?

Here I am with Lili's little sister, Tati...I've known her since before she was born! LOL! She's such a little beauty, herself!

Here is my best friend, Nati, putting Lili's heels on her! Now she's become a young woman!

...and the tiara!
