Time flies!

Well, I have so many things to post and photos to show off. We have been SOOO busy with the kids that I've hardly been able to keep up with them, let alone the blog! I'll try to do my best to post a few of our excursions here and in the next few posts.

In the middle of last week, we spent some time with my best friend and took the kiddos swimming at her apartments. They had a blast and played lots.

I just love that smile on my girl, worth more than a million dollars to me. Every day I'm amazed at how much she loves me and how much joy she brings to my life. Sure, she gets into EVERYTHING...the other night I found her in the restroom with lipstick ALL over her face...but it's just because she's so curious and wants to learn everything. She is so full of love, it fills my heart and blesses me beyond belief. I thank God every day for bringing her into our lives and choosing her to be my daughter.

So, I found these notes I'd written down in April and May. I thought I'd share them with you here...

It was April 27, 07 and we were driving in the car.
Sarah: "What are you doing, Mama?"
Me: "I'm driving, Sarah...what are you doing?"
Sarah:"I'm driving too, Mama...."

she pauses and thinks for a minute...

Sarah:"I'm driving Baba craaaaazy!"

I think I hurt myself laughing that day, it was so funny! It made me wonder what kinds of things Troy tells her when I'm not around!



We were at church and it was all over. Sarah saw one of the young men who had been recovering from a really bad car accident. His name is Caleb and he had crutches and some bandages on his leg. After looking at him for a while, Sarah turned to me and said, "Mama, Caleb has owies"
Me: "Yes, Sarah, he has owies on his foot and his leg."
Sarah:"Pay for him"
Me: "You want to pray for Caleb's owies to get all better?"
Sarah: "Yes."
Me: "Okay let's go pray for Caleb."
She put her hand with mine on Caleb's leg and I told him she wanted to pray for him...
Sarah: "Dear geesus...pay caleb owies...make 'em all better...pay owies...in geesus name. AMEN!"

She eagerly looks at me and says: "He's all better!"
Me: "Yes, baby...Jesus will heal Caleb and he will be all better. Good job, praying for Caleb!"

*sigh* and sometimes she brings unlimited joy and tears to my eyes.

The Family Reunion/Party

When we were in California, my Grandpa & Grandma had a party for our family. I had lots of cousins and aunts and uncles that came to the party. Most of them I had never met before because this was my first trip to California since I was adopted. My Grandparents and my Aunt Leanna and Uncle Robert have come to see me in Utah but the rest of the family I just got to meet. It was a lot of fun. I never knew how much fun it was to have so many cousins!!

I am standing by my Grandma's fish pond...she let me feed the fish in the pond, I thought it was awesome!

This is my cousin, DJ...his Daddy is my Baba's cousin, they grew up together and were best friends their whole life.

I really like my Uncle Robert...Mama says she thinks that he reminds me of my Baba...I'm not sure what she means, though!

A Trip to the Farm

Yesterday, we went to the Historic Farm and we had lots of fun. There was a baby cow that I pet. He was brown and really cute.

Baba picked up the rooster...since he had chickens when he grew up, he knew how to pick them up and not get hurt. He was really soft.


It was hot and the baby pigs were trying to cool off in the shade.

There was a pretty horse, too.

Baba held me and I got to pet him.
