Fun at the State Fair!

These top 2 photos, my Mom just emailed me, so I added them...She was getting ready to jump with those bungees.

In Sept. my Mom, Sarah's Lao Lao, came for a visit and it just so happened to be the same time as the State Fair. So, we spent an afternoon/evening at the Fair. It was a lot of fun and most of the time was spent with Sarah riding the rides, which wa s a lot of fun for us to watch.

Here she is going down the slide...

And the GIANT slide! That's her int he middle of the slide coming down!
She made it all the way down, and she loved it!

Riding the helicopter...

That's her in the barn the third row from the left on the end!

WEEE!

Spinning around and around and around...

Yes, that's Sarah flipping upside down on the bungee jumping ride. She LOVED it!
Can you believe how high she was?
Jumping and...
Jumping and...
Getting ready for another jump!
Lao Lao and Sarah waiting in line to go on this ride! Sure, they look happy now! Just wait!
It went REALLY fast!
You can see here that Lao Lao has gotten her fill of this one!
but here they were havin' a blast!
Sarah was loving it!
We had a lot of fun at the Fair! This was the first year that Sarah rode the rides and she absolutely loved it! She keeps asking me when it's time to go again!

Dancin in the Driveway!

I just LOVE this dress that Sarah got from her LaoLao! It's so cute! Sarah loved to make it twirl. We had some fun playin' and dancin' in the driveway after church a few weeks ago!

First Day of Preschool 2009

Here is my little (not-so-much-a baby-anymore) girl on her first day of preschool this year. She loves her class and her teachers. I love it cause they have a class for Advanced Pre-K, which is great because this is her second year in preschool since she her birthday missed the deadline to start kindergarten this year. I love how they tailor the curriculum for the kids in her class based on their skills. It's wonderful! Anyone in the area looking for a preschool I have a wonderful one to refer you to!

AND...it's OUT!

Yes, I know they're a little blurry. Sarah decided to take a self portrait on the night of the 31st of Aug. when she let her Baba pull out her tooth. It was so cute. He had been asking and asking her if he could pull it out since the day before when we realized it was so loose. She kept telling him no, until I went to the basement that night to do something. All of a sudden I heard Troy screaming, and Sarah came running to me showing me that there was a hole in her mouth!
Troy said, he asked her to let him pull it out and she finally said, "okay, I'll just hold my breath and be brave!" That's exactly what she told me when she came to show me..."Mama, I was so brave, I just held my breath!"
...Memories...

Sarah's First Step to "Girl Hood"

Well...it happened. I knew it was inevitable, but I didn't think that it would happen before her fifth birthday. There we were at our playdate with our China friends yesterday (I'll post photos of that later). Before hand, we stopped at the Maverik to get Sarah a snack in case she got hungry. She chose an apple, which I was more than happy to oblige her with. After playing for an hour or so, she decided that she wanted her apple. She was playing around while eating it, then she suddenly she came to me, with "the look" on her face. You know the one, where she wants to cry, but doesn't...still, I could see she was in pain. I asked her, "what's wrong Honey?" She was pointing to her mouth and holding her apple in the other hand. To my surprise and horror her tooth had a little blood, and I could see it was "out of place". As I looked closer, I could see it wiggle and her "grown up tooth" that was coming in behind the baby tooth in front. Over the past few weeks, I had noticed that the space between those 2 teeth in front had gotten bigger, and now I knew why. I shouted, "You are losing your baby tooth! You have a grown up tooth coming in behind it!"
Sarah was so elated, jumped up and down screaming, "I'M GROWING UP!!"
Yes, to my dismay, my baby is growing up, officially graduated from the toddler years, to the big girl years. I cried as I lay in bed last night...reflecting my Noodle and how much she's grown...how quickly the time goes and how precious every moment is to experience to it's fullest. I don't want to miss one single thing in this girl's life. I want to enjoy her every day, her sweet ability to bring a smile to my face and a laugh to my heart. Her loving hugs and kisses and "in the middle of the night I Love Yous" as she comes in our room to make sure all is right in her world.
I don't want to be too caught up in the world to miss one moment with my girl...and each dance around the living room in her Cinderella dress, each page we color together, each game of Candyland on the dining room table, or each puzzle to do together and especially each baby tooth she loses, and each big girl tooth that comes in.

Dancin' around!

Okay, Okay...I'll hold still, but only for a second!

First Time as a Flower Girl!

Last Saturday, Sarah's Poppa got married. Sarah was the flower girl and she was so excited about her job...she took it very seriously! She did a wonderful job and was just adorable! Here she is leading her Poppa and Kathy down the aisle...

During the wedding...checking out her flowers...

Does my husband look happy or what?

This was before the wedding...all excited to do her job!

My Smart Little Girl

So over the weekend, we had a discipline moment with our precious daughter. She got a lecture from her Baba, as much as a 4 1/2 year old can handle. That night, after it was all said, done and forgotten...Baba was cooking dinner (His favorite-bratwurst) and Sarah decided that she didn't want hers on a bun. Well, Baba decided a bun was better 'cause she wouldn't be hungry later. She resisted, but the next thing I knew, I saw her eating it with the bun. When Baba noticed, he said, "Thank you for eating it on a bun, Sarah."
Her response was golden!
She said, "I thought to myself...I don't want to argue with my BaBa!"
...It was all I could do to hold in the giggles!

Splashing FUN!

A couple of weeks ago we went to the Splash pad park again. Sarah had a blast and just ran around the whole time. She was fun to watch!
Modeling her goggles...

I tell ya, the hoops that I make this girl jump through!
