Poem for Sarah by Mama

She spins and twirls with pure abandonment,
Hands raised, with a smile that could light even the darkest room.
She looks at me when the musicians pause between songs
to ensure more songs will follow.
She gets caught up in the worship
like nothing else in the world matters.
She shoots me a glance, runs over to me,
and whispers so sweetly,
with a smile, in my ear, “I love you, Mom!”
With those words, she fills my heart and displays to me God’s heart
and how much He loves me.
Then she races back to her self-made dance floor…
spins…twirls…and worships her Jesus.
